How to Use the Accessories on the Shark Navigator Lift Away Deluxe NV360: A Beginner’s Guide
Through Shark NV360 Reviews, it is an excellent budget-friendly upright. You have made a very good choice with it!
Now, when you first unpack the vacuum, you will find a couple of accessories in the box. Don’t know what they do and how to use each of them properly? This short beginner user’s guide can help you out in only a few short minutes!
What Are the Included Accessories?
In total, the vacuum comes with four different accessories. Here is the list:
• Dusting brush
• Crevice too
• Pet power brush
• Appliance wand
Each one, of course, has a different use and they can augment your cleaning ability in different manners.
Dusting Brush
The dusting brush is the simplest, most straightforward tool out of them all. It is simply an attachment with soft bristles at the tip. According to Shark, the bristles are made from high-quality horse hair.
What it does is that it allows you to clean scratch-prone, delicate surfaces without damaging them. Curtains, sofas, or delicate hardwood tables, for example.
The brush will scrub against stubborn dirt spots and dislodge them, which will allow the vacuum’s strong suction power to suck them up.
Crevice Tool
The crevice tool is an extension piece with a long, tapered nozzle. Use it if you ever find the need to take out dust and debris in cramped spaces around the house.
Tiny corners, the space behind furniture, or the claustrophobic space in the attic are all great spots for the crevice tool to work its magic. The slender nozzle allows the tool to fit into these tight spaces effortlessly.
Pet Power Brush
This tool, like the name suggests, is going to be extremely useful for pet owners who regularly have to vacuum up pet hair.
The pet power brush is an air-driven attachment that has a small, rotating brush roll at the front. Place it onto any surface with a lot of pet hair — such as a dog bed — and the tool will suck up any strand in its way.
Its biggest advantage compared to the normal cleaning head is that it is much less likely to jam up or clog. After all, the tool is specifically designed to handle pet hair and resist tangling.
Appliance Wand
Otherwise known as the under-appliance wand is a 30-inch long, L-shaped attachment. Aside from being the longest tool out of the four included accessories, it is also very slender.
The unique design allows the wand to fit underneath furniture such as sofas and armchairs with ease. Take out this tool and latch it onto your vacuum anytime you need to dust out the underside of your furniture.
Accessory Holder
Aside from the four accessories, a fifth piece is attached directly to the vacuum: a holder.
You can use it to store the crevice tool and the dusting brush (the pet power brush and the appliance wand must be stored separately). It gives you the ability to quickly access the tools while you’re cleaning.
How to Attach the Accessories to Your Vacuum
The accessories must be used in conjunction with the suction hose. So, the first step is to release it from the Shark navigator NV360.
You have two options: you can simply release the handle and the suction nozzle. Or you can release it and take the extension wand with you. If you decide on the latter, the suction hose will be released with a couple of extra inches of reach. The accessories can be attached to both the bare suction nozzle or the extension wand.
Look near the hand grip at the top of the vacuum and you will find a handle release button. Press on it and the suction nozzle will come loose.
In case you want to use the extension wand, look further down and near the base of the vacuum. There is another extension wand release button. Press on it, and the nozzle along with the extension wand will pop off.
Take your accessory and plug it directly to the front of either the nozzle or the extension wand. After that, you’re in business!
Conclusion
And that’s all you need to know about how to use the NV360 Shark vacuum’s accessories! We hope that you have found the information that you were looking for in this short guide.
